GEN Z DAN DUNIA KERJA: PERAN MEDIASI EFIKASI DIRI DALAM HUBUNGAN EMOSI, LOYALITAS, DAN KEPUASAN
Abstrak
ABSTRACT
This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence on organizational commitment and job satisfaction in Generation Z workers, and explore the mediating role of self-efficacy in this relationship. Organizational commitment is a crucial element in maintaining workforce sustainability and loyalty, especially in Generation Z, which is known to have adaptive characteristics towards technology but tends to be low in work commitment. A quantitative approach was used with a survey method on 96 Generation Z respondents in Semarang City. Data analysis was carried out using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique with the help of the SmartPLS 3.0 application. The test results show a direct influence of emotional intelligence variables on self-efficacy, organizational commitment and job satisfaction. Self-efficacy has a direct influence on organizational commitment and job satisfaction. In addition, self-efficacy is proven to mediate the indirect influence of emotional intelligence on organizational commitment and job satisfaction
ABSTRAK
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kecerdasan emosional (emotional intelligence) terhadap komitmen organisasional dan kepuasan kerja pada pekerja generasi Z, serta mengeksplorasi peran mediasi efikasi diri (self-efficacy) dalam hubungan tersebut. Komitmen organisasional merupakan elemen krusial dalam menjaga keberlanjutan dan loyalitas tenaga kerja, khususnya pada generasi Z yang dikenal memiliki karakteristik adaptif terhadap teknologi namun cenderung rendah dalam komitmen kerja. Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan dengan metode survei terhadap 96 responden generasi Z di Kota Semarang. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan teknik Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan bantuan aplikasi SmartPLS 3.0. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan pengaruh langsung variabel kecerdasan emosional terhadap efikasi diri, komitmen organisasi dan kepuasan kerja. Efikasi diri berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap komitmen organisasi dan kepuasan kerja. Selain itu, efikasi diri terbukti memediasi pengaruh tak langsung kecerdasan emosional terhadap komitmen organisasi maupun kepuasan kerja.
