Archiving Policy

Among Makarti maintains electronic backup and long-term preservation of its journal content through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). The journal's preservation status can also be verified through the ISSN Portal.

The Public Knowledge Project (PKP) developed the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to provide digital preservation for journals published using Open Journal Systems (OJS). The LOCKSS program provides decentralized and distributed digital preservation, continuous and unrestricted access, and preservation of the original versions of journal content.

The PKP Preservation Network ensures that journals that are not covered by other digital preservation services, such as CLOCKSS or Portico, can be preserved and remain available for long-term access. For additional information about the PKP Preservation Network, please refer to the PKP Private LOCKSS Network Overview.
