Copyright

Authors who publish their work in the Among Makarti Journal agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain the copyright to their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. The work is simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons License
Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. This license allows others to share and adapt the work, provided that appropriate credit is given to the authors and the original publication in this journal is acknowledged.

  2. The licensor permits others to create and distribute derivative works, provided that such works are distributed under the same or a compatible license.

Data Publication Licensing

The Among Makarti Journal supports the use of appropriate waivers and licenses specifically designed for the publication and reuse of research data, including:

Other data publication licenses may be permitted as exceptions, subject to the editor's approval on a case-by-case basis. Any such exception must be supported by a written statement from the author(s), which will be published alongside the article.

Open Data and Software Publication and Sharing

The journal seeks to maximize the reproducibility of published research. Therefore, authors are encouraged to make available all data, code, and protocols underlying the research reported in their articles. Exceptions may be permitted when justified; however, any exception must be explicitly stated in a publicly available written statement accompanying the article.

Datasets and software should be permanently deposited and archived in an appropriate, trusted, public, or domain-specific repository. Authors may refer to re3data for suitable research data repositories and to software repositories such as GitHub, GitLab, Bioinformatics.org, or equivalent repositories.

Persistent identifiers, such as DOIs or other permanent identifiers, associated with datasets must be included in the data or software source section of the article. References to datasets and software should also be included in the article's reference list, together with their DOI or other persistent identifier, where available.

If no suitable domain-specific data repository is available, authors should deposit their data in a trusted general-purpose repository such as Zenodo, Dryad, Dataverse, or an equivalent repository.

Small datasets may also be published as supplementary data files or supporting materials accompanying the research article. However, authors are encouraged to prioritize deposition in an appropriate data repository whenever possible.
