Archiving Policy

Among Makarti ensures the electronic backup and long-term preservation of its journal content through the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). Information regarding the journal's preservation status can also be verified through the ISSN Portal.

The Public Knowledge Project (PKP) developed the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to digitally preserve journals published through Open Journal Systems (OJS). The LOCKSS program provides decentralized and distributed digital preservation, continuous and unrestricted access, and preservation of the original versions of journal content.

PKP PN ensures that journals that are not covered by other digital preservation services, such as CLOCKSS or Portico, can be preserved and remain accessible for long-term use. For additional information about the PKP Preservation Network, please refer to the PKP Private LOCKSS Network Overview.
