Abstract

This study aims to examine the direct and indirect effects of servant leadership on innovative work behavior, by presenting the flow at work as a mediation. This study uses quantitative techniques with primary data collected through online questionnaires. The sampling technique used the purposive sampling method and obtained 142 eligible samples. Data analysis used the Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) method with SmartPLS 3.0 program. The results showed that there was no significant direct effect of servant leadership on innovative work behaviour, and flow at work has a significant influence on innovative work behavior. Furthermore, the mediating role of flow at work significantly influences the relationship between servant leadership and innovative work behavior. This shows that the mediating role of flow at work is very important because when there is no flow at work as a mediating variable, the relationship between servant leadership and innovative work behavior is not significant.
